A cheesy, beefy, crunchy casserole inspired by the classic walking taco, layered with seasoned ground beef, refried beans, sour cream, cheese, and nacho cheese Doritos. Perfect for family dinners or parties.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning
1/3 cup water
1 can refried beans (15 oz)
1 cup canned corn, drained
3/4 cup sour cream
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
4 cups crushed nacho cheese Doritos (divided)
Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, lettuce, jalapeños, olives, avocado, green onions

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat (7–8 minutes). Drain grease.

  • Add taco seasoning and water. Simmer 2–3 minutes.

  • Stir in refried beans and corn. Heat through.

  • Spread half of the crushed Doritos in the bottom of the baking dish.

  • Spoon beef mixture over the chips.

  • Spread sour cream on top of beef layer.

  • Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over sour cream.

  • Top with remaining crushed Doritos.

  • Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.

  • Cool for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with optional toppings.
