Sticky garlic chicken noodles packed with sweet-savory sauce, golden seared chicken, and chewy noodles. Better than takeout and ready in 30 minutes.
For the Chicken:
1 lb boneless chicken thighs or breasts, sliced
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp soy sauce
Pinch black pepper
1–2 tbsp oil (for frying)
For the Sauce:
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar or honey
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp hoisin sauce (optional)
1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry)
2 tbsp water
Other:
8–10 oz cooked noodles (lo mein, rice noodles, or spaghetti)
4–5 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp oil (for garlic sauté)
Green onions & sesame seeds for garnish
Toss chicken with soy sauce, cornstarch, and pepper. Let sit 10–15 mins.
Cook noodles and set aside.
Mix sauce ingredients in a bowl.
Sear chicken in oil over medium-high heat until golden and cooked. Set aside.
In same pan, sauté garlic for 30–60 seconds. Add sauce and simmer until thick.
Return chicken and noodles to pan. Toss to coat evenly.
Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot.
