A comforting Italian-inspired recipe where crispy garlic bread bowls are filled with saucy spaghetti and melty cheese — perfect for family dinners or cozy nights in.
For the bread bowls:
4 round bread rolls or small sourdough boules
1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp chopped parsley or Italian seasoning
1/4 cup grated Parmesan
For the spaghetti:
8 oz spaghetti noodles
1 tbsp olive oil
2 cups marinara sauce
1/2 lb ground beef or sausage (optional)
1 cup shredded mozzarella
1/4 cup grated Parmesan
Salt and pepper, to taste
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Slice tops off bread rolls and hollow out centers.
Mix melted butter, garlic, and herbs. Brush over bread inside and out.
Sprinkle Parmesan inside bowls. Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden.
Cook spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Drain and toss with olive oil.
In a pan, cook meat (if using), then stir in marinara. Simmer 5–7 minutes.
Add spaghetti to sauce, mix in half the cheeses.
Spoon spaghetti into bowls. Top with remaining cheese.
Bake 8–10 minutes until cheese is melted. Broil 1–2 minutes if desired.
Garnish and serve hot.
