A comforting Italian-inspired recipe where crispy garlic bread bowls are filled with saucy spaghetti and melty cheese — perfect for family dinners or cozy nights in.

For the bread bowls:

  • 4 round bread rolls or small sourdough boules

  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley or Italian seasoning

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan

For the spaghetti:

  • 8 oz spaghetti noodles

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 cups marinara sauce

  • 1/2 lb ground beef or sausage (optional)

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Slice tops off bread rolls and hollow out centers.

  • Mix melted butter, garlic, and herbs. Brush over bread inside and out.

  • Sprinkle Parmesan inside bowls. Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden.

  • Cook spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Drain and toss with olive oil.

  • In a pan, cook meat (if using), then stir in marinara. Simmer 5–7 minutes.

  • Add spaghetti to sauce, mix in half the cheeses.

  • Spoon spaghetti into bowls. Top with remaining cheese.

  • Bake 8–10 minutes until cheese is melted. Broil 1–2 minutes if desired.

  • Garnish and serve hot.
