Pizza Tot Casserole combines the cheesy goodness of pizza with crispy tater tots for an easy, crowd-pleasing meal. Loaded with meat, sauce, and melty cheese, it’s a perfect weeknight dinner or party dish.

  • 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage

  • 1½ cups pizza sauce or marinara

  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1 (28–32 oz) bag frozen tater tots

  • ½ cup mini pepperoni or sliced pepperoni

  • ½ cup diced bell peppers and/or onions (optional)

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

  • Chopped parsley or basil (optional garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • In a skillet, cook ground meat until browned. Drain fat. Add diced veggies if using and cook until soft.

  • Stir in pizza sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer 2–3 minutes.

  • Spread meat mixture in the bottom of the baking dish. Top with shredded mozzarella.

  • Arrange tater tots in a single layer over the cheese. Top with pepperoni and optional Parmesan.

  • Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until tots are golden and cheese is bubbling. Broil for 2 minutes if desired.

  • Let rest for 5–10 minutes. Garnish and serve.
