Pizza Tot Casserole combines the cheesy goodness of pizza with crispy tater tots for an easy, crowd-pleasing meal. Loaded with meat, sauce, and melty cheese, it’s a perfect weeknight dinner or party dish.
1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
1½ cups pizza sauce or marinara
1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 (28–32 oz) bag frozen tater tots
½ cup mini pepperoni or sliced pepperoni
½ cup diced bell peppers and/or onions (optional)
1 tsp Italian seasoning
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Chopped parsley or basil (optional garnish)
Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a skillet, cook ground meat until browned. Drain fat. Add diced veggies if using and cook until soft.
Stir in pizza sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer 2–3 minutes.
Spread meat mixture in the bottom of the baking dish. Top with shredded mozzarella.
Arrange tater tots in a single layer over the cheese. Top with pepperoni and optional Parmesan.
Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until tots are golden and cheese is bubbling. Broil for 2 minutes if desired.
Let rest for 5–10 minutes. Garnish and serve.
