4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped

Instructions

  • Pat chicken dry and pound to even thickness if needed.

  • Mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and thyme.

  • Rub seasoning evenly over both sides of chicken.

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.

  • Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Sear chicken 4 to 5 minutes without moving.

  • Flip and cook 3 to 4 minutes more.

  • Add butter and spoon over chicken.

  • Transfer skillet to oven and roast 8 to 12 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F.

  • Rest chicken 5 minutes before slicing.

  • Finish with lemon juice and parsley.
