Marry Me Chicken is a creamy skillet chicken dish with garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, Parmesan, and herbs simmered in a rich sauce.
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
4 cloves garlic minced
1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes chopped
3/4 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons fresh basil or parsley chopped
Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper and lightly dredge in flour.
Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Sear chicken for 4 to 5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through, then remove from skillet.
Add garlic to the same skillet and cook for 30 seconds.
Stir in sun-dried tomatoes and cook briefly.
Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add heavy cream, Parmesan, oregano, thyme, and red pepper flakes.
Simmer sauce for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
Return chicken to skillet and spoon sauce over top.
Simmer for 5 minutes until heated through and sauce coats the chicken.
Garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving.
