8 chicken drumsticks
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup unsalted butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.

  • Pat drumsticks dry and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.

  • In a saucepan, melt butter. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.

  • Stir in honey, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes. Simmer briefly.

  • Pour sauce over chicken and turn to coat.

  • Bake for 35–45 minutes, basting once during cooking.

  • Broil for 2–3 minutes at the end if desired for stickier skin.

  • Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
