These soft garlic butter bread rolls are tender, golden, and bursting with garlicky, buttery flavor—perfect for any dinner or holiday table.

Ingredients

  • 3½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 packet (2¼ tsp) active dry yeast

  • 1 cup warm milk (100–110°F)

  • 1 large egg, room temperature

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp salt

Garlic Butter Topping:

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley or herbs

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until foamy, about 5–10 minutes.

  • In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add yeast mixture, egg, and melted butter. Stir until a dough forms.

  • Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise 1 hour until doubled.

  • Divide into 12 pieces, shape into balls, and place in greased baking dish.

  • Cover and let rise 30–45 minutes. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Bake rolls for 18–22 minutes, until golden.

  • Melt butter and sauté garlic for 1–2 minutes. Stir in parsley.

  • Brush garlic butter over warm rolls and serve.
