Elegant and flavorful, these Blue Cheese Stuffed Pears combine the sweetness of ripe pears with the tang of creamy blue cheese. Topped with honey and nuts, they make the perfect appetizer for fall and winter occasions.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe but firm pears (Bosc or Anjou), halved and cored

  • 4 oz blue cheese, crumbled

  • 1 tbsp cream cheese or mascarpone (optional for creamier texture)

  • 2 tbsp honey or fig balsamic glaze

  • 1/4 cup chopped toasted walnuts or pecans

  • Fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)

  • Freshly cracked black pepper (optional)

  • Lemon juice (for brushing pears)

Instructions

  1. Halve and core the pears using a melon baller. Brush with lemon juice to prevent browning.

  2. In a bowl, mix blue cheese with cream cheese until creamy.

  3. Spoon or pipe the cheese mixture into each pear half.

  4. Drizzle with honey or glaze, then sprinkle with nuts, herbs, or pepper.

  5. Chill for 10–15 minutes or serve immediately.
