A creamy, cheesy one-pot pasta dish made with seasoned ground beef, tender macaroni, and a homemade sauce — better than the box!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 or lean)

  • 1 small yellow onion, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp tomato paste

  • 2 cups beef broth (low sodium)

  • 1 cup whole milk

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni (uncooked)

  • 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Optional: pinch of cayenne

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat if needed.

  • Add onion and cook for 2–3 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds.

  • Add tomato paste and seasonings. Stir and cook for 1–2 minutes.

  • Pour in beef broth, milk, and macaroni. Stir well, bring to a simmer.

  • Cover and simmer 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.

  • Turn off heat. Stir in shredded cheese until smooth and creamy.

  • Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
