Quick and flavorful beef and broccoli stir-fry with tender steak, crisp vegetables, and a savory garlic sauce. Ready in under 30 minutes — better than takeout!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank or sirloin steak, thinly sliced

  • 3 cups broccoli florets

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (for marinating)

  • 1 tsp cornstarch (for marinating)

  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil (for marinating)

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil (for stir-frying)

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced

Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tsp cornstarch

  • 1/2 cup beef broth or water

Instructions

  • Marinate beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil for 10 minutes.

  • Whisk sauce ingredients in a bowl and set aside.

  • Blanch broccoli for 2 minutes, then shock in ice water.

  • Heat oil in a skillet. Sear beef in batches until browned. Set aside.

  • Stir-fry garlic and ginger. Add beef and broccoli back to the pan.

  • Pour in sauce and stir until thickened and glossy.

  • Serve hot over rice or noodles.
