Tender beef slices and vibrant broccoli are tossed in a savory garlic-ginger sauce in this quick, better-than-takeout beef and broccoli stir-fry.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced

  • 3 cups broccoli florets

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

  • 1 tbsp olive or avocado oil

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (for marinade)

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (for marinade)

  • 1 tsp cornstarch (for marinade)

  • ½ tsp sesame oil (for marinade)

Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • ½ tsp sesame oil

  • ¼ cup beef broth or water

  • 1 tsp cornstarch

Instructions

  • Marinate sliced beef in soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil for 15–20 minutes.

  • Blanch broccoli in boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  • Mix all sauce ingredients in a bowl and set aside.

  • Sear beef in hot oil until browned; remove from pan.

  • Sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.

  • Add beef, broccoli, and sauce. Stir-fry 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens.

  • Garnish and serve over rice or noodles.
