This easy beef and broccoli recipe is a quick, savory stir-fry made with tender beef slices, crisp broccoli, and a flavorful soy-garlic sauce. Better than takeout and ready in 30 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank or sirloin steak, thinly sliced

  • 34 cups broccoli florets

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 23 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tbsp fresh grated ginger

  • ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

  • ¼ cup water

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Mix sauce: soy sauce, brown sugar, oyster sauce, cornstarch, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and water.

  • Toss beef with 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp cornstarch, and ½ tsp sesame oil. Marinate 10–15 minutes.

  • Stir-fry broccoli in oil until crisp-tender. Remove and set aside.

  • Sear beef in batches until browned. Return to pan.

  • Add sauce and broccoli. Stir 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens and coats everything.

  • Serve hot over rice or noodles. Garnish with sesame seeds or scallions if desired.
