This easy beef and broccoli recipe is a quick, savory stir-fry made with tender beef slices, crisp broccoli, and a flavorful soy-garlic sauce. Better than takeout and ready in 30 minutes!
1 lb flank or sirloin steak, thinly sliced
3–4 cups broccoli florets
2 tbsp vegetable oil
2–3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp fresh grated ginger
½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
1 tbsp cornstarch
¼ cup water
1 tsp sesame oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Mix sauce: soy sauce, brown sugar, oyster sauce, cornstarch, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and water.
Toss beef with 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp cornstarch, and ½ tsp sesame oil. Marinate 10–15 minutes.
Stir-fry broccoli in oil until crisp-tender. Remove and set aside.
Sear beef in batches until browned. Return to pan.
Add sauce and broccoli. Stir 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens and coats everything.
Serve hot over rice or noodles. Garnish with sesame seeds or scallions if desired.
