Tender strips of beef and crisp broccoli tossed in a rich, garlicky stir-fry sauce. Quick, easy, and better than takeout!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank or sirloin steak, thinly sliced

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (for marinade)

  • 1 tsp cornstarch

  • 1 tsp vegetable oil

  • 3 cups broccoli florets

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp grated ginger

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil (for stir-frying)

Sauce:

  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tsp cornstarch

  • ¼ cup water or broth

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  • Marinate beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and oil. Let sit 10–15 mins.

  • Mix sauce ingredients in a small bowl.

  • Blanch broccoli in boiling water for 1–2 mins, then rinse with cold water.

  • Heat oil in a skillet. Sear beef in batches, 1–2 mins per side. Remove and set aside.

  • Sauté garlic and ginger. Add broccoli and cook 2–3 mins.

  • Return beef to pan, add sauce, and stir-fry until thickened and glossy.

  • Finish with sesame oil and serve hot over rice.
