Tender strips of beef and crisp broccoli tossed in a rich, garlicky stir-fry sauce. Quick, easy, and better than takeout!
1 lb flank or sirloin steak, thinly sliced
2 tbsp soy sauce (for marinade)
1 tsp cornstarch
1 tsp vegetable oil
3 cups broccoli florets
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp grated ginger
1 tbsp vegetable oil (for stir-frying)
Sauce:
¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp cornstarch
¼ cup water or broth
1 tsp sesame oil
Marinate beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and oil. Let sit 10–15 mins.
Mix sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
Blanch broccoli in boiling water for 1–2 mins, then rinse with cold water.
Heat oil in a skillet. Sear beef in batches, 1–2 mins per side. Remove and set aside.
Sauté garlic and ginger. Add broccoli and cook 2–3 mins.
Return beef to pan, add sauce, and stir-fry until thickened and glossy.
Finish with sesame oil and serve hot over rice.
