Creamy Jalapeño Popper Chicken Bake layers juicy seasoned chicken with a rich blend of cream cheese, sharp cheddar, spicy jalapeños, and crispy bacon, all baked to golden perfection. It’s a comforting, flavorful main dish with just the right amount of heat.
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
2 jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Season both sides of the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Place in the dish.
In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, 1/2 cup cheddar, jalapeños, and half the bacon. Mix until smooth.
Spread the mixture evenly over each chicken breast.
Sprinkle with the remaining cheese and bacon.
Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
Remove foil and bake for another 15–20 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and cheese is bubbly.
Let rest for 5 minutes, then garnish with green onions and serve.
