A festive holiday twist on the classic caprese salad, this no-cook Christmas Tree Caprese Salad combines cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, and mozzarella in a tree-shaped display topped with olive oil and balsamic glaze.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cherry or grape tomatoes

  • 8 oz mozzarella balls (ciliegine or bocconcini)

  • 1 bunch fresh basil leaves

  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 12 tbsp balsamic glaze

  • Sea salt and black pepper to taste

  • Optional garnishes: yellow bell pepper star, rosemary sprigs, pomegranate seeds

Instructions

  • Rinse and dry all ingredients. Drain mozzarella and pat dry.

  • On a platter, arrange tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil in rows forming a Christmas tree shape.

  • Use basil leaves like foliage and alternate with tomatoes and cheese.

  • Add a “tree trunk” with olives or mozzarella at the base.

  • Top with a bell pepper star.

  • Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze.

  • Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and optional garnishes. Serve immediately.
