A comforting, kid-friendly classic made with tender chicken and butter-coated noodles. Simple, satisfying, and ready in under 30 minutes.
8 oz egg noodles
2 cups cooked chicken breast or thighs, chopped or shredded
3–4 tbsp unsalted butter
½ tsp garlic powder (or 1 clove fresh garlic, minced)
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
Optional: fresh parsley or chives for garnish
Boil noodles in salted water until al dente. Drain, reserving ½ cup pasta water.
While noodles cook, season and sauté chicken in butter or oil until fully cooked. Rest, then shred or chop.
In the empty pasta pot, melt butter over low heat. Add garlic and stir until fragrant.
Return noodles to the pot and toss in butter. Fold in chicken and Parmesan if using.
Adjust seasoning. Add reserved pasta water if needed for moisture.
Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs or extra cheese.
