A comforting, kid-friendly classic made with tender chicken and butter-coated noodles. Simple, satisfying, and ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz egg noodles

  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast or thighs, chopped or shredded

  • 34 tbsp unsalted butter

  • ½ tsp garlic powder (or 1 clove fresh garlic, minced)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Optional: 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

  • Optional: fresh parsley or chives for garnish

Instructions

  • Boil noodles in salted water until al dente. Drain, reserving ½ cup pasta water.

  • While noodles cook, season and sauté chicken in butter or oil until fully cooked. Rest, then shred or chop.

  • In the empty pasta pot, melt butter over low heat. Add garlic and stir until fragrant.

  • Return noodles to the pot and toss in butter. Fold in chicken and Parmesan if using.

  • Adjust seasoning. Add reserved pasta water if needed for moisture.

  • Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs or extra cheese.
