A bold and easy Cheesy Taco Crunch Beef Skillet made with seasoned beef, beans, salsa, cheese, and tortilla chips, all cooked in one pan for a satisfying, family-style dinner.
1 lb ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning or 2 tbsp homemade blend
1/3 cup water
1 cup salsa or tomato sauce
1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
2 cups thick tortilla chips, lightly crushed
1½ cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
Optional toppings: cilantro, green onions, sour cream, diced tomatoes
Brown beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
Add taco seasoning and water; simmer for 2 minutes until thickened.
Stir in salsa and beans. Let simmer for 3–5 minutes.
Reduce heat to low and fold in some crushed chips.
Sprinkle cheese on top and melt using a lid or broiler.
Garnish with fresh toppings and serve immediately.
