Air Fryer Bang Bang Chicken Skewers feature tender chicken pieces cooked until lightly crisp and brushed with a creamy, spicy-sweet sauce for a bold and satisfying dish.

1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs cut into 1 to 1 1/2 inch pieces
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup sweet chili sauce
1 to 2 tablespoons sriracha
1 teaspoon rice vinegar or fresh lime juice
Wooden or metal skewers

Instructions

  • Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 20 minutes if using.

  • Preheat the air fryer to 380°F.

  • In a bowl toss chicken pieces with olive oil garlic powder paprika salt and black pepper.

  • Thread the chicken onto skewers leaving slight space between pieces.

  • Place skewers in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

  • Cook for 10 to 12 minutes flipping halfway through until internal temperature reaches 165°F.

  • In a separate bowl mix mayonnaise sweet chili sauce sriracha and rice vinegar until smooth.

  • Brush cooked skewers generously with sauce.

  • Return skewers to the air fryer for 1 to 2 minutes to lightly set the sauce.

  • Rest briefly before serving.
